I got the Tile to put on my bike, primarily so my wife can keep track of where I am during my ride, but also in case my bike is ever stolen. I tested it around the house and it finds my bike just fine, and I can use the audio beep in case I’m really having a bad day. However, on 2 separate tests of the the “Tile Community” to find me and my bike when away from home, I was disappointed. Tile said there were around 1,000 Tile users in my “circle” which, according to the map drawn probably had at least 200,000 residents. On the first test, I went for a 60 mile bike ride through some generally heavily populated areas, and Tile found me only 3 times, according to my wife’s attempts to find me. All 3 times, it found me at very busy intersections where traffic was heavy and I was probably stopped at a traffic light waiting to cross a busy street. On the 2nd test, I went for a 30-mike bike ride in some more remote areas, although always within a short distance of developed areas. Tile could not find me even once. I understand the limitations of the technology, but I’m wondering just how effective Tile can be as a tool to recover lost or stolen articles. Unless your stolen or lost article ends up at a busy intersection, or in downtown Manhattan, I’m not sure it would ever find it. If me or my bike are lying in a ditch somewhere on a lightly traveled road, I don’t think Tile will ever find me either. So bottom line is yes, it’s a great tool for finding your keys, wallet, of whatever around the house, but keep your expectations low that this will help you track and recover your stolen items.

We have moved to the country and my cats like to explore our 10 acres. The positive: The tags are easy to set-up and light weight, so the cats do not mind it on their collars. However, one cat absolutely freaks out when the chime goes off.For my situation, I’m not sure it was a good investment. Our WIFI and cellular are not so good because we have hills and valleys around our house. It is hard to get a fix on the tag if the cats wonder down to the creek to too far from the house.I very disappointed in the app and the functions. For me there was a significantly long update delay on the location even when the tag was moved nearby and in good signal range. The map, for me, does not have granularity I expected from modern technology and that other apps have. It only gives me a proximality. This might be different in the city or other urban areas.I think I’m going to need GPS.

I purchased this set for my son – one for his wallet and one for his keys. It is a nice backup if they misplace their keys or wallet. We have not had to use it for lost keys but have used it for his wallet that slipped between the seats. We wouldn’t have found it for weeks ( or ever) had we not had the Tile. Worth buying,

Best thing that happened to me! I used to lose my keys, but this gadget was a Godsend. My friend got this exact one before me and then recommended I get it too. I just wish it had a gps feature where it will show you it’s exact location but the sound has been great.

My wife got this for me for fathers day as I have a problem with my kids hiding my keys. They are toddlers and just love to play with them and then put them in random places in the house. If I leave them out, they are gone. Different reasons for needing it for everyone I suppose.Now I no longer have to look in the couches, air vents, drawers, etc. to find them. I just hit the button on my phone.The only thing i don’t like on it is the “button” on the tracker to find your phone. I have tried it out a few times to see how it does. Two things I don’t like are that the button doesn’t really seem like a button as it doesn’t really depress at all. I never know if my phone is on silent or if I did not press it enough. That is the other thing I wish I could find a way to do. I keep my phone on silent most of the time. I with if I pressed the button on my tile tracker that it would override the silent on my phone and make it ring. You wont have this issue if you keep your ringer on though. It is more of a personal thing.

I literally could not be a responsible adult without this thing. I think that I use this everyday wheat her I am tracking my keys with my phone or pinging my phone with my keys! It is the best money I have spent.

Fortunately I haven’t lost my remote and my phone at the same time, but I’ve used the tile to find both at various times. Very handy! And not expensive. I used double-sided foam tape to stick the Tile to the back of my remote, and it seems to be working well.

this was suggested to me and its super helpful for a multitasking boss and mom however once you download the app you find out you basically need the subscription in order for the tiles fully work…
