I have had MANY counter top ovens over the years, as I’m sure most people have. Price wise from the Black & Decker little toaster oven (which worked quite well) to the Breville 800 (which was the WORST I ever had bar none). It seems I get a new oven about every one or two years. For this review, I’m comparing the Omni Pro 18 and the Ninja DT201 because they have many similarities.First, the obvious difference — Even though they are the same price, The Omni has a rotisserie and the Ninja doesn’t.The Omni seems less sturdy than the Ninja. The Omni, according to two different manufacturer’s thermometers, has more accurate temperature — the Ninja usually running somewhat cooler. Now, having said that, weirdly, food cooks MUCH faster in the Omni — about 20% faster. Go figure. There are no instructions either in the manual for the Omni or the factory YouTube channel on how to use the AirFry setting and basket. This is somewhat necessary because the AirFry basket does not reach across to the rack holders and has to sit on “something”. You can find how to use it in YouTube videos by cooks not associated with Instant!. This is sad because the AirFry feature in the Omni is MUCH better than in the Ninja. The Ninja throws oil and pieces of food all over the inside walls which burns on and is very hard to clean. Eventually the rail slots for the racks get gummed up and make it difficult to insert and remove the racks.Speaking of the racks, the OMNI has no catches to stop the racks from exiting the oven and they drop down severely because of a absence of rail in the middle of the sides — a real problem when the rack is full of food. Its VERY easy to dump everything when you pull a rack out. Apparently, Instant! expects you to completely remove the racks to load and unload your food. Most ovens have stops or some type of restraint so you can load and unload with the rack partially in the oven. This takes some getting used to.Two things that bug me about the OMNI, the control panel NEVER turns off (goes dark). If you need an extra night-light in the kitchen, this is it. It only draws 4.5 watts when “OFF” but it is still a waste and annoying. The timer on the OMNI is hated. Tapping the up or down button a few times kicks it into 5 or 10 unit scrolling. This takes you WAY beyond the time or temp you wanted. When you try tapping to go back, it starts scrolling fast again. By the time you get to the time or temp you want, you’re ready to throw it out the window. Hey Instant!, tapping is ONE increment at a time, HOLDING the up or down arrow is scrolling. PLEASE fix this!Bottom line, we bought the OMNI to get the rotisserie feature after having an amazing pork loin marinated with Lawry’s Sesame and Ginger marinade at a friend’s house. The rotisserie works great. The air fryer is better than Ninja’s. The temperature is more accurate. The control panel is a pain in the butt. The racks are a pain in the butt. The broiler seems to be superior to the Ninja. The OMNI is fairly low noise which a big plus with us.The Omni is slightly smaller overall than the Ninja. The inside cooking area is much smaller than the Ninja (this seems to be the main complaint for most people but it hasn’t been a problem for us—maybe that’s why it cooks faster). We liked the Ninja but stopped using the Air Fryer feature because it was such a mess.Hope this helps.

After letting it run at 400 degrees for an hour outside, most of the chemical odors are gone. I cut up some sockeye salmon (which I hate) for my wife and her mom, and put in some frozen green beans. Both were coated with some EVOO and salted and peppered before cooking. I cooked at 350 for 8 minutes after waiting for preheating. I should’ve waited about 90 seconds before adding the green beans, the were overdone. The salmon was very very good, even I could eat it (but I cooked myself something else). Then I cut up some Yukon Gold potatoes into home fries (wide, and a little thick), tossed them in EVOO, and seasoned with salt and pepper. I preheated to 375 and cooked those for about 18 minutes, turning them after about 10. They were crispy outside and creamy inside. Now I know that it wasn’t hype.Odor erase seems to work well (but you can still smell the food- just about the right amount).I only wish it were just a bit bigger. Thinking about the dual zone 10-quart one. Be careful when washing the drawer, the glass area isn’t watertight and you can easily get water in-between the outer and inner windows, leading to water spots.

Cooks just as well as when I first bought it.Durable, one time it would not display it options when shutting the door. The tab that is on the air fryer was just stuck and just need to be cleaned.Another, after cleaning the unit it was flashing and beeping like mad. I thought it had water damage. So I just dried it under the sun and when I came back from work it was working again.I believe this is because I was trying to clean the three slots that hold the air fryer door. Food gets trapped in there easily. I hope InstantPot reads this review and improves on the next design. That should be a removable crumb tray. But honestly it’s just a nitpick and not worth taking away a star.

What did I ever do without this! After reading the enclosed information and washing the washable parts, I made brussel sprouts. They came out crispy and tender. I didn’t need to pre-cook them in boiling water first, just a little water residue from washing them. Next, roasted small potatoes. They were done in 1/2 the time stated in the instructions. On to toast – perfect! Frozen shoestring french fries – so happy how they came out and no greasy fryer smell in the house. Turkey breast tenderloins were done in only 23 minutes. I love this thing.

Best purchaseAfter using Samsung microwave for 9 years and lg microwave for 8 years both convection.. I wanted something different. Spent a few weeks searching for new and smaller convection models.. (priority of any oven was reheating)came across instant model and as the name suggests I loved it instantly.. it’s been a great choice because I have been using it almost every day and it doesn’t fail to surprise me because I can get healthy grilled food in a few minutes.. without using oil . Trust me it’s a very good product.. when we buy any electronic products the first thing we look out for is service centre and instant products are sold by frootle India. Their technician came for giving demo the next day . And they did call up again to enquire whether we were happy with the demo and whether we were facing any problem .. Go for it .. highly recommend this product.. will update after few months if any issue arises

I’m glad I didn’t return it because of reviews I readI was going to return this because of a lot of cons i read on the reviews plus I don’t have a lot of counter or storage space but I’m sick of feeding my son and bf fried foods cooked in oil especially my son, who loves fried foods. My take on the cons I read1. Plastic smell- when I opened the air fryer for the first time, there’s a wiff of plastic smell. Per the cleaning instructions, I wiped the inside with damp towel and dried it. I did this several times until I can no longer smell plastic when I stick my nose in it. I also washed the 2 trays and grease tray with warm water and diswashing soap and dried it with clean towel. I ran an empty cycle using Airfryer for 20min and almost immediately, there’s a strong plastic smell filling my kitchen. I did 2 empty cycles for 20min each and I’ve been smelling the vent behind it for plastic smell. During the 2nd cycle, the plastic smell wasn’t as strong as the first cycle. I used it to cook food for the first time after few hours and the food did not smell or taste plastic.Bottomline for the plastic smell, I think cleaning the inside with damp towel and washing the trays really helped get rid of the smell in my opinion. I ran 2 empty cycles for 20min each and the plastic smell was gone.2. Touchscreen not sensitive enough- for this one, I don’t really have a problem with it. Mine is working great. No need to touch it multiples times or even hard.3. Too loud- I’m not sure if its because I always have Grey’s Anatomy playing on my tv whenever I ran my airfryer but I don’t think mine is as loud as some people mentioned.4. Beep too quite- Yes, the beep indeed is quite, but my solution to that is just setting my phone alarm.Food taste so much better and flavourful compared to conventional oven cooked foods.I have not tried the basket or the rotisserie but I’m excited to cook lechon belly in it soon.Overall, I’m very happy with this. This is my very first big appliance purchase since my bf and I started living at our own place. It will help me with dinner especially because I work the graveyard shift and I can cook my son all the fried food his little heart wants.

It saves us from oil use. Less oil consumption means more healthy.I may use it for healthy food preparations. Instant pot is a dream cone true to me. Thanks to Sri.Ashish Mourya for the demo he has given. He has explained wonderfully and cleared all my doubts.

Best purchase ever!I was not familiar with Air Frye, which has nothing to do with what people think when we mention to frye food.I love the double baskets, diner is ready faster than the time it would take the oven to get to the Air fryer temp.
